About Me

Passionate about building innovative solutions with modern technologies

About Anirudh Edpuganti

I am an Applied AI & Software Engineer specializing in Agentic Systems and LLM Orchestration, currently working at Guidewire Software. My journey began with a fascination for how machines can learn and make intelligent decisions, which has evolved into building production-grade AI systems that deliver measurable impact.

My Journey into AI

My path into artificial intelligence started during my undergraduate studies at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, where I specialized in AI and maintained a CGPA of 9.12. What began as academic curiosity quickly transformed into real-world applications when I deployed my first production LLM chatbot at AIMS Hospital in Kochi - a system that now serves real patients and reduces staff workload.

The turning point came when I architected an Agentic AI workflow at Guidewire that reduced manual drumbeat generation time by 60%. This experience showed me the transformative power of well-designed AI systems and solidified my focus on building practical, impactful AI solutions.

Key Achievements

🏆 Google's Agentic AI Day Finalist

Selected as a finalist among top AI engineers, validating my expertise in designing autonomous AI agents and optimizing novel LLM workflows under time constraints. This recognition from Google reinforced my approach to building efficient, scalable AI systems.

🎯 60% Efficiency Gain Through AI

At Guidewire Software, I didn't just implement features - I revolutionized workflows. My Agentic AI system orchestrates LLMs with custom tool integration for multi-step reasoning, delivering quantifiable business value.

🌍 International Speaker

Presented Fern, an open-source test reporting tool, at Guidewire DevSummit 2025 to an international audience. This opportunity allowed me to share innovations with the global developer community.

🛡️ Security Champion

Leading security initiatives across my team with zero security dues, I ensure that innovation doesn't compromise safety. This role combines my technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.

💚 Open Source Contributor

Earned the Hacktoberfest 2024 badge for significant contributions to open-source projects. I believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much.

📚 Published Researcher

My research on "Effect of Data Quality on Water Body Segmentation with DeepLabV3+ Algorithm" was published in the ASPRS International Technical Symposium, bridging academic research with practical applications.

👨‍🏫 Technical Educator

  • Trained 250+ students in deep learning concepts using Matlab Deep Designer
  • Conducted workshops on Prompt Engineering and LLM optimization
  • Organized hackathons to foster AI innovation

What Drives Me

I'm passionate about the intersection of AI theory and practical application. While many focus on the "what's possible," I focus on "what's useful." Every line of code I write, every system I design, is aimed at solving real problems for real people.

My experience deploying an LLM chatbot in a hospital setting taught me that technology's true value lies in its ability to improve lives. Watching our system help medical staff serve patients more efficiently reinforced my commitment to building AI that matters.

Technical Philosophy

I believe in:

  • Production-First Thinking: If it doesn't work in production, it doesn't work
  • Measurable Impact: Every feature should have quantifiable value
  • Security by Design: Building secure systems from the ground up
  • Open Collaboration: Sharing knowledge strengthens the entire community

Current Focus

At Guidewire Software, I'm building secure, scalable Go-based microservices for the Sentinel team - a product safeguarding the software supply chain. My work spans the entire stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces, all deployed on cloud infrastructure.

I'm particularly excited about the convergence of Agentic AI and enterprise software, exploring how autonomous agents can transform traditional business processes.

Beyond the Code

Technology is just a tool - it's the problems we solve and the people we help that truly matter. Whether I'm mentoring students, contributing to open source, or building production systems, my goal remains constant: create technology that makes a positive difference.

When I'm not architecting AI systems or writing Go microservices, you'll find me:

  • Exploring cutting-edge AI research papers
  • Contributing to open-source projects
  • Conducting technical workshops
  • Playing chess and solving algorithmic challenges

Looking Forward

The future of AI isn't just about larger models or faster inference - it's about intelligent orchestration, practical application, and measurable impact. I'm excited to be part of this transformation, building the AI systems that will power tomorrow's innovations.

Let's Connect

I'm always eager to discuss AI architectures, share experiences about production deployments, or collaborate on projects that push the boundaries of what's possible. Whether you're a fellow engineer, a student starting your journey, or someone with a problem that AI might solve, I'd love to hear from you.

Feel free to reach out - let's build something impactful together!
